How to read Deutz Engine Errors Codes?

The code has three parts. It is counted by the number of flashes (short, long, short flashes)

short (0.4 s) - long (0.8) - short (0.4 s)

1-2-3 Access to the coolant temperature lamp -Invalid signal, exceeds the device control time

 

1-2-6 speed control (pedal) -Invalid / fuzzy signal

 

1-2-8 The intake air temperature sensor signal is incorrect

 

1-3-3 Temperature sensor Transmission oil Wrong signal

 

1-3-4 Rail pressure monitoring system Pressure signal / pressure deviation out of range

 

1-3-5 oil pressure output of the warning lamp Wrong signal, the device control time exceeds

Exit from the fuel metering valve block Incorrect signal, exceeds the device control time

 

1-3-6 Air pressure monitoring in the air filter is too small

 

1-3-7 Output to drives Short to positive

 

1-3-8 Output to actuators Short circuit on the case

 

1-4-2 Access to the engine lamp Wrong signal, exceeds the device control time

 

1-4-3 Multi-position switch 1/2/3 Wrong / fuzzy signal

 

1-4-4 Lubricating oil temperature sensor Incorrect / fuzzy signal Oil temperature monitoring Temperature outside the specified range

 

1-4-5 Automatic blocking of the start switch Interruption of signals

 

1-4-6 Reducing valve open / required pressing / pressing pressure after pressure does not open

 

1-4-7 Rail pressure sensor Incorrect deviation of signal pressure out of range

 

2-3-1 Oil pressure monitoring Pressure out of range

2-3-2 Coolant temperature control -Temperature above specified range

 

2-3-3 regulates the temperature of the intake air above the set temperature range

 

2-3-5 coolant level below the specified level

 

2-3-7 fuel temperature control Temperature outside the specified range Output 238 to the drive Fan 1/2 Invalid signal, exceeds the device control time Fan speed control is out of range

 

2-4-1 combustion control detected misfire in one or more cylinders

 

2-6-1 for controlling actuators Relay does not open or short circuit to ground

 

2-6-3 Access to devices that allow cold start Incorrect signal fault relay, or Not connected, short circuit

 

2-7-1 CAN Bus timeout of one or more transmitted data blocks, inactive bus

 

2-8-2 Sensor supply voltage 1/2/3 Voltage outside the specified range

 

2-9-2 Atmospheric pressure sensor Wrong / fuzzy signal

 

3-1-4 hydraulic system of the oil temperature sensor Incorrect regulation of the oil temperature in the hydraulic system The temperature is set by the range

 

3-1-8 Battery voltage out of range (below or above)

 

3-2-8 Access to lamp control device to facilitate cold start Invalid signal exceeded the control time of the device

 

4-1-4 Output to external device AGR Incorrect signal

 

4-1-5 Output to external device AGR Invalid signal, exceeds the device control time

 

4-1-6 Output to external device AGR Device Wrong signal

 

4-1-7 Lubricating oil chronometer wear has reached a critical point

 

5-1-2 output to the starter relay. Invalid signal exceeded device control time.

 

5-1-3 Access to the lamp pointer Invalid signal, exceeds the device control time

 

5-1-4 control terminal signal 15 (ignition power wire) not detected

 

5-1-5 control terminal 50 detected a constant signal (wire to start the starter)

 

5-2-1 Measurement speed The speed of the movement is not clear

 

5-2-8 Access to internal motor brake Wrong signal

1-3-6 Air filter control Air pressure behind the filter is too low

 

1-4-4 Oil temperature control Temperature outside the specified range

 

2-1-6 Low fuel pressure control Low fuel pressure outside the specified range

 

2-2-2 Accelerator pedal input 1 (PWM) Wrong PWM signal

 

2-2-3 Charge air pressure control Charge air pressure out of range

 

2-2-6 Accelerator pedal input 1 (analog) Incorrect / incomprehensible signal

 

2-2-8 Fuel filter water level monitoring Max. water level

 

2-3-1 Oil pressure monitoring Pressure out of range

 

2-3-2 Cooling temperature monitoring liquids. The temperature is above the set range

 

2-3-3 Intake air temperature control Temperature above the set range

 

2-3-5 Coolant level control Level below the specified range

 

2-3-7 Fuel temperature control Temperature outside the specified range

 

2-3-8 Fan speed monitoring Speed outside the specified range

 

2-4-1 Combustion monitoring Ignition misfire detected in one or more cylinders

 

2-7-1 CAN bus Timeout of one or more transmitted data blocks, bus is inactive

 

3-1-4 Oil temperature monitoring for hydraulic system Temperature out of range

 

3-1-8 Battery monitoring Voltage out of range

 

5-1-4 Terminal 15 monitoring No signal detected

 

5-1-5 Terminal 50 monitoring Constant signal detected

Deutz Engine Malfunctions

The engine will not start or starts badly

Clutch not disengaged (if possible) - Check clutch.

Start temperature limit not reached - Check

Wrong SAE viscosity grade of engine oil - Oil change.

Fuel quality does not correspond to the instructions for use - Fuel change.

Air in the fuel system - Remove air from the fuel system.

Battery defective or not charged - Check battery.

Cable connections to starter disconnected or oxidized - Check cable connections.

Starter defective or gear not engaging - Check starter.

The engine will not start and the system indicator flashes diagnostics

Engine electronics blocking start - Check error code, if necessary eliminate the error

The engine starts, but works intermittently or stops

Fuel quality does not correspond to the instructions for use - Fuel change.

High pressure fuel line leaking - Check high pressure fuel line.

Faulty injection valve - Check / replace injection valve

Changes in the number of revolutions are possible, and the diagnostic system warning lamp is on.

The engine electronics have detected a system error and has activated the compensating speed - Check the error with the code, eliminate the error if necessary.

The engine gets very hot. The temperature alarm is triggered.

Not enough coolant - Top up.

Coolant heat exchanger dirty - Clean.

Coolant pump malfunction (V-ribbed belt torn or loose) - Check if torn or loose.

Oil level too low - Add oil.

Oil level too high - Check oil level and drain if necessary.

Fan / V-belt broken or loose - Check fan / V-belt, replace if necessary.

Thermal short circuit in the cooling system - Check the cooling system.

Too high resistance in the cooling system / too low flow - Check cooling system.

The engine is missing power

Oil level too high - Check oil level and drain if necessary.

Oil filter on air and / or oil side dirty - Replace.

Fuel quality does not correspond to the instructions for use - Fuel change.

Air filter dirty / turbocharger defective - Check / replace.

Service switch / indicator malfunction air filter - Check / replace.

Air discharge line leaking - Check air discharge line.

Charge air cooler dirty - Clean.

High pressure fuel line leaking - Check high pressure fuel line.

Injection valve defective - Check injection valve.

The engine is low on power and the diagnostic warning lamp is on.

Engine electronics reduce power - Check code for error and correct if necessary.

The engine does not run on all cylinders.

High pressure fuel line leaking - Check high pressure fuel line.

Injection valve defective - Check / replace injection valve.

The engine has no oil pressure or is too low

Oil level too low - Add oil.

Engine roll too much - Check engine position / reduce roll.

Wrong SAE viscosity grade of engine oil - Oil change.

Excessive oil consumption in the engine.

Oil level too high - Check oil level and drain if necessary.

Engine roll too much - Check engine position / reduce roll.

Blue comes out of the engine smoke.

Oil level too high - Check oil level and drain if necessary.

Engine roll too much - Check engine position / reduce roll.

White smoke comes out of the engine

Start temperature limit not reached - Check

Fuel quality does not correspond to the instructions for use - Fuel change.

Faulty injection valve - Check / replace injection valve

Black smoke comes out of the engine

Air filter dirty / turbocharger defective - Check / replace.

Air filter maintenance switch / indicator defective - Check / replace.

Air discharge line leaking - Check air discharge line.

Injection valve defective - Check / replace injection valve.
