Massey Ferguson isan American company, the largest manufacturer ofagricultural machinery in the world, part of AGCO.
The history of Massey Ferguson begins in 1847, when Canadian farm owner Daniel Massey began manufacturing and repairing machines for nearby farms. Ten years later, Alanson Harris's Harris Company appeared, which organized the production of horse-drawn vehicles.
Massey and Harrison's companies grew rapidly and eventually merged in 1891, becoming Canada's largest agricultural machinery manufacturer, developing a self-propelled combine in 1938.
World leader Massey-Harris could not help but notice another market leader - Harry Ferguson Limited - and to become even stronger, decides to buy this incredibly successful tractor business. This fateful merger of the two largest enterprises took place in 1953. And in the spring of 1958, the renewal of the renewed company was completed, which decided to change thename Massey-Harris-Fergusonto our usual Massey Ferguson.
In 1958, the company produced an exceptionally successful TE-20 tractor, which broke all records for the number of machines sold - a total of 520,000 units were sold. Another victory for the company was released in 1978, the MF 1505 - the world's first tractor with electronic control mechanism (ELC), designed primarily for the North American market. Following the international success of Ferguson's three-point adjustable attachment, Massey Ferguson has once again taken on the role of a pioneer, developing an electronic lift control system and improving the accuracy and convenience of working with attachments.
